Hello, my name is Emma Thompson. I’m Mum to active little boy Cormac and chatty little girl Orla. I am a certified infant and child sleep consultant who loves working with families to support and guide them with their child’s sleep.
When I had my second child, my son, who was nearly three, started waking up several times a night. My daughter contracted bronchiolitis at three months, and her sleep went out the window. I couldn’t get her back on track after she recovered. By the time she was six months old, I was getting up to her up to six times a night and to my son several times a night. To say I was a mess is an understatement.
I finally realised things were not going to improve unless I got professional help. The sleep support I received saved mine and my family’s sanity! Learning about sleep; the science behind sleep, settling techniques, age-appropriate routines and much more was life-changing. I had newfound confidence to go home and get my three-year-old son some much-needed sleep.
From there, a new passion was born, and I wanted to start helping other families who were going through sleep deprivation. I sought to further my knowledge on baby and child sleep and became a qualified infant and child sleep consultant. Paired with my degree in Applied Science and empathetic and supportive style, I’m here to help and guide families in getting their children to have better quality sleep.
